The ExaRAID line is PCI-E based, offering blazing fast data throughput at an economical cost. The unit features dual controllers, redundant fans and power supplies, and ultimate data redundancy. RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 0+1 & JBOD supported. Optimized for 2K/4K HD video processing. Snapshot function allows fast backup and restore.

The ExaRAID 8808D contains the following functions:

• Extreme Performance: Dual 2.5Gb x4 PCI-e provided 1.5GBps host-transferring bandwidth with upgraded Intel CPU which delivers high performance for heavy duty storage applications.
• Simple Management: Front Panel LCD and Java-based GUI make RAID function set up and management easy.
• Equalization Mode: EQ mode is able to improve video quality, especially for HD or 2K/4K video editing applications.
• Disk Self Test automatically tests RAID hard drive health. DST performs write, servo analysis, & read scan tests; the test results are displayed on the LCD & Hyperterminal outputs.
• Disk Scrubbing uses idle time to test disks. If a sector is corrupted, DS regenerates data from other RAID member disks & writes it to an uncorrupted sector. DS prevents having multiple corrupted sectors in a single stripe, one of the main causes of data loss.
• Disk Cloning used with the SATA SMART function, determines the optimum time for the system to begin cloning a failing drive to a system hot spare disk. The cloned disk automatically takes over array function, eliminating degraded performance during rebuilds.
