Description

The iS325-04 is a 3U, 15 bay SATA-iSCSI solution that utilizes four 1Gb ethernet ports to share storage of up to 13TB at RAID 5. The iS325-04 integrates an integraStor controller, which enables high performance, feature rich, power efficient, and cost effective iSCSI RAID storage solutions for IP based SANs. 

The iS325-04 4 port iSCSI solution is perfect for users who require storage consolidation, SAN extension over IP-based WANs, and SAN/NAS consolidation across a single unified fabric, all at a great price. The unit enables block-based, cost-effective RAID storage solutions by integrating a forward-looking iSCSI controller. The iS325-04 design addresses a wide spectrum of customer environments, from the most demanding transaction processing workloads to the high performance requirement of video applications. Offers a highly advanced, intuitive GUI that allows the user to easily change system settings, schedule backups and tests, generate system reports, and much, much more. Most users can configure this unit in four mouse clicks.

iStor's bundled software, InMage's DR Lite, provides continuous data protection. When data is written to the array, it's also written to another location, providing ultimate redundancy while avoiding performance loss. The iS325-04 contains the following built-in functions:

• Adaptive & Persistent Cache Management: Write back, write through, write coalescing, & read ahead.
• Volume Virtualization: Online capacity expansion, RAID level migration, free space defragmentation, auto rebuild spare drive, micro rebuilds.
• iSCSI Performance: Jumbo frames support, full TCP/IP hardware offload engine (TOE).Standards Based Platform: Conforms to storage management initiative spec (SMI-S), RFC standard track w/ CHAP authentication security, enclosure management services ready.
• Down-Drive Function: Prevent down time using this feature, which works in conjunction with a SATA drive's SMART function. Down-Drive copies data from a drive that is ready to fail, before the actual failure. 
• Micro Rebuild: SATA drives occasionally go off line for brief periods of time, which most RAID systems interpret as a failure. Micro-Rebuild writes data to a log file and when the SATA drive comes back online writes it to the drive, without a need for a rebuild.
• RAID Protected Virtual Volumes: The system will only rebuild part of a drive set, based on its volume structure. This reduces rebuild times considerably.
