Description New! The 3U SIVY6631 (Fibre) features high availability hardware & firmware architecture which automatically detects bad array sectors & failing disk drives before data is affected. Operating system independent & transparent with Windows, Linux, Novell, UNIX, or Mac based servers. On-line expansion allows the user to add drives to an existing array without interrupting operation. Available with a battery backup for extra data protection. - Disk Self Test automatically tests RAID hard drive health. DST performs write, servo analysis, & read scan tests; the test results are displayed on the LCD & Hyperterminal outputs.
- Disk Scrubbing uses idle time to test disks. If a sector is corrupted, DS regenerates data from other RAID member disks & writes it to an uncorrupted sector. DS prevents having multiple corrupted sectors in a single stripe, one of the main causes of data loss.
- Disk Cloning used with the SATA SMART function, determines the optimum time for the system to begin cloning a failing drive to a system hot spare disk. The cloned disk automatically takes over array function, eliminating degraded performance during rebuilds.
The SIVY6631 is the perfect solution for anyone who needs large amounts of data storage while maintaining high data transfer rate and compact rack space. The SIVY6631 has been benchmark tested at over 200MB/S read and write data transfer.
